We will depart from Palenque at 6:00 am, embarking on a journey that will connect you with nature, spirituality, and the ancestral traditions of the Lacandon Maya. Our adventure begins with a 15-minute drive along Highway 199 toward Ocosingo, Chiapas. From the Ashupa crossroads, we’ll continue along Highway 307 toward the Corozal border, a trip of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.

On the way, we will stop at 11 de Julio Restaurant, where Mrs. Paty will delight us with a traditional breakfast full of flavor and local charm. This pause will energize us for the rest of the day.

The Ceremony with Shaman Eduardo Chankin

Upon arrival at Tres Lagunas, we’ll be welcomed by Shaman Eduardo Chankin, a respected and wise figure of the Lacandon Jungle. Eduardo conducts ceremonies to honor the Maya gods:

• JUNAPKÚ (north)
• KINICH AHAU (south)
• IXCHEL (goddess of fertility)
• XIBALBÁ (west)

Each ceremony is unique, personalized to the needs of those seeking peace, healing, or gratitude. Whether it's a birthday, an anniversary, or a prayer for family or friends, Eduardo guides the ritual with chants, prayers, and the mystical drink balché, an ancestral preparation with deep cultural significance.
