Mayal Ceremony:

During this 30-minute experience, you will witness an authentic representation of the ancestral ceremonies performed by the Lacandon Mayans. In this ceremony, homage is paid to the four main gods ( JUNAPKÚ, KINICH AHAU, IXCHEL, and XIBALBA) and requests are made on behalf of the couple, family, friends, or even oneself. It is a unique opportunity to connect with Mayan spirituality and experience the deep tradition that has endured over the centuries.

At the end of the ceremony, you will receive a brief explanation of the history and significance of the Lacandones, which will enrich your understanding of this rich culture.

Additional Option: Visit to the Archaeological Zone of Bonampak:

After this enriching experience, you will have the option to continue exploring and immerse yourself even more in Mayan history. You can choose to visit the Archaeological Zone of Bonampak, a site known for its impressive murals and archaeological remains that will transport you to the ancient Mayan civilization.

Recommendation:

For this experience, it is recommended to wear white clothing, preferably, as it is a significant color in Mayan ceremonies. If you prefer, you have the option to rent a Lacandon tunic for an additional cost of $350.
