Exploring El Salto Waterfall - September 13, 2024

Today, September 13, 2024, we will visit the magnificent El Salto Waterfall, located in the Municipality of Palenque, Chiapas. This impressive waterfall is located in the Ejido Reforma Agraria, approximately one hour from Palenque.

How to get there: To reach this destination, we will take highway 199, which leads to Ocosingo. After 20 minutes, we will reach the Ashupa junction. From there, we will change to highway 307 in the direction of Frontera Corozal, and after another 30 minutes, we will reach the Chancala junction. From this point, we will turn left and continue for 15 minutes until we reach the waterfall.

Breakfast and Activities: Before starting our activities, we will enjoy a delicious breakfast prepared on site, with an estimated time of 40 minutes to savor each bite. This breakfast includes typical dishes from the region, made with fresh, local ingredients.

Once we have recharged our batteries, we can explore the surroundings of this majestic place. We will offer two options: a 10-minute hike on foot, where we can observe the local flora and fauna, or an exciting 200-meter zipline that will take us directly to the main waterfall. Here, you will enjoy the refreshing breeze of the waterfall, which plummets from approximately 20 meters high, and you will have the opportunity to capture unforgettable photographs.

At the end of the tour, we will return to the starting point to visit the bathing areas, where you can swim and enjoy this incredible trip to the fullest.
