Sibal boasts an aquifer system that encompasses 7 lagoons, with the most crystal-clear waters you could ever know. They are turquoise blue, so clear that it is possible to see the bottom with the naked eye.
The local population offers canoe tours that depart from a dock right there. Additionally, you can rent a kayak for 100 pesos per person and swim in Laguna Guinea.

How to Get There

From Ocosingo, just before reaching Toniná, take the detour towards Monte Libano, then towards Nahá, and from there head towards Sibal.
Once you are there, contemplating the aquatic landscapes, listening to the tales of submerged archaeological sites, you will never regret it.
