Exploring the Wonderful Metzabok Lagoon from Ocosingo

Departure at 6:00 a.m.: We begin our exciting day of exploration from the reception of your hotel in Ocosingo. Our first stop will be in Nahá, where we will enjoy a delicious breakfast (not included in the cost of the tour), with 40 minutes to recharge our batteries.

Metzabok Lagoon: Our main destination of the day is the impressive Metzabok Lagoon, a place with a significant name in the Mayan language: "God Maker of Thunder". This lagoon is nestled between the mountains of the eastern state of Chiapas, in the heart of the Lacandon Jungle.

During our tour, we will have the guide of a Lacandon expert who will take us on a boat to explore the highlights of the lagoon.

TZIBANAH: Cave Paintings and Spirituality: Our first stop will take us to TZIBANAH, a cave where we can admire ancient cave paintings that have been captured on a stone on the shores of the lagoon. This place has a deep spiritual meaning for the locals and is a testimony to the ancestral connection with nature.

Sacred Site: Next, we will visit a site considered very sacred by the local community. Here, we will be able to experience the spirituality and importance of this place for the Lacandon culture.

VIEWPOINT: Panoramic View: To end our tour, we will head to the VIEWPOINT, where we can enjoy an impressive panoramic view of the Metzabok lagoons. This will be the culmination of our experience in this amazing natural environment.

Return to Ocosingo, Chiapas: Once we have explored the Metzabok Lagoon and enjoyed its wonders, we will head back to the city of Ocosingo, in Chiapas. The return is scheduled for around 6:00 p.m.
